Connecting the Community Richmond Hill (CTCRH) meets weekly to promote cross sector collaboration.
It's purposes, as set out in its incorporation are to:
a. Developing and fostering community spirit;
b. providing regular meetings and special events;
c. establishing educational programs for benefit to the community;
d. providing a forum for the discussion of any matters of public interest;
e. promoting civic engagement and community well-being;
f. promoting and fostering interest and support for local charities;
g. organizing social and cultural events;
h. uniting persons interested in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding and such other complementary purposes not inconsistent with these objects.
After many years of meeting at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, it changed location due to the Richmond Hill's council decision to increase it's rate. For more details click HERE
As of April 30th, 2019 the weekly meetings are at Richmond Hill United Church, soon to be established as The Centre for he Community.
Meetings are from 9 am to 11 am
There is no charge to attend though a minimum donation of $4 is request to cover the costs of admin and to make a donation to Hill House Hopsice.
Connecting the Community also supports many charities and events.
It resolves to connect the community and hence build a stronger community.
